Three full days of speakers: People diagnosed with ALS, holistic medical professionals and family members who assisted them. Lunch may be added, depending on sponsorships.
You may cancel up to 30 days before the conference for a full refund, after that, registrations are not refundable. You may allow someone else to use your ticket if you notify us as early as possible, at least by September 15th so we can update nametags and check-in lists.
There isn’t one, but we expect the event to sell out quickly. Our conference facility’s main ballroom may have limited capacity. Register as early as possible to get the best early bird rate.
Use “ALS” as a group code when you book on the Salt Lake Marriott Downtown at City Creek website to get the group price of $139 per night. The group price is available for arriving two nights early and staying two nights following out the event. Our block of rooms will be held until 30 days before the event. See the Venue page for more details.
You may, but we cannot provide a discount for a single day registration. This is a three day event and we fully expect to be sold out. Our budget requires selling all seats at the full ticket price for the event to cover all of its costs. If you must miss a day or two, attendees do have preferred access to the conference recordings.
Yes, the entire conference is wheelchair accessible, this includes Trax (light rail) transportation for travel from the airport to the hotel.
The hotel restaurant offers gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, vegan options upon request. Should we receive enough funding through sponsorship for in-conference meals they will also have these options. When registering, ask about dietary preferences to inform the hotel so they can accommodate special dietary needs as best they can. There is also a Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s just a ten-minute wheelchair-friendly trax ride from the hotel as well as a variety of restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
The physical and financial reality of ALS can be truly challenging. Although we cannot provide financial assistance, we have found that a lot of people ask a relative, friend or church to sponsor them to attend the conference. Others have asked a friend, colleague or family member to set up a GoFundMe campaign or another type of fundraiser to raise money for registration, hotel, travel and have raised enough for the trip. People around you want to help and this is an opportunity for others to help your family, which they will appreciate.
We understand both the necessity and the expense of a caregiver. At this point we are not able to offer complimentary admission to the conference for caregivers. Since this is a limited event, we ask that you purchase a registration for everyone who will be attending. Others have used creative options to pay for their registration, hotel and travel expenses such as a relative, friend or church to sponsor them or have asked a friend, colleague or family member to set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money. People appreciate the opportunity to help those around them in challenging situations.
